Dr Iain Brownlee is a Senior Research Scientist with CSIRO in Australia in nutrition and health. His research has been particularly focused on dietary fibres and whole grains may impact on gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and metabolic health. He has been involved in a number of projects evaluating dietary intake in young Singaporeans and considering public health recommendations/health claim regulations around the Southeast Asia region. He has collaborated with experts from food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries throughout his career. His work has resulted in 3 patents and over 40 highly-cited, peer-reviewed publications. He is currently collaborating with research projects in Singapore, Malaysia and the UK.
